DIY Surf and Skate Art with Fieldey

FRINGE WORLD is giving you the chance to create your own trucker cap design. Under the guidance of local artist Fieldey (Haylee Fieldes), you can relax and let your creativity flow.

Fieldey is a friendly and approachable facilitator. As an expert in her field, she specialises in painted surfboards and skateboards as well as street art murals.

With an iconic style that blends retro tattoo and pop art, Fieldey gently leads the workshop providing support when needed.

Each free session runs for 20 minutes and is done on a drop-in basis. All you need is your imagination; everything else is provided. With hats coming in black or red, there is an array of Posca pens (paint markers) to add colour and individual flair.

There is also the option to bring your own skateboard or surfboard. Using the materials provided, participants can draw and paint an original design that will surely stand out in a crowd.

To have made the experience even better, there could have been more time allocated as it felt slightly rushed. However, it’s a great taster into a growing field of art. You can always learn more from Fieldey through her YouTube channel Fieldey TV that has easy to follow art tutorials.

DIY Surf and Skate Art is a wholesome activity that will delight adults and children alike. Your custom hat will be a memento of FRINGE WORLD Festival and might even make an interesting conversation starter.

Bring your friends and family, you will be sure to enjoy this unique FRINGE WORLD experience.
