Bubble Show for Adults Only

Grab your lover and a night cap, because you might be amorous during this sensual, titillating pantomime. After I saw this performance, I knew that I would never look at bubbles as boring again.

Bubble Show consists of the highs and lows of a standard relationship arc – dating, arguments, angry sex, reproduction, suburbia and death. This show, stripped down to its core, is simplistic but it works perfectly. I was mesmerised the entire hour.

The female and male duo had steamy chemistry in their comedic scenes, and blew up (pun intended) with some naughty bubble action. They had amazing costumes which also included (removable) parts to blow bubbles on.

There was burlesque, boylesque, contortions, a sign language performance, and the bubble tampon. I never thought I’d see a woman in pussycat lingerie whip out said tampon and make bubbles to Missy Elliot. It was a hilarious mental image that got the entire venue to laugh with.

“So, how can you make bubbles sexy?” might you ask. There’s transparent and smokey bubbles which make all sorts of formations (bubble butt, bubble boobs and bubble privates for both the genders on stage).

The female performer twisted and writhed in sexy costumes as the male performer covered her in bubbles. With a poof in the air, we are onto the next bubble arc.

The audience I was part of loved participating from the beginning, being on stage, cheering on the performers and a mass “kiss in finale”.

No relationship segment was the same, and it was consistently entertaining through. The duo went from romantic comedy, sexy mating calls, powerful masculine demonstrations, and time stopping UV/light dances. With an amazing and stimulating soundtrack, the finale really blew my mind.

I’d give this performance 5/5 bubbles, but I’m going to leave that to the experts.
