4some of Awesome presents…

By Danielle Rock on 02 Feb 2018

What do you get when you cross a can whipped cream, a tin of Heinz baked beans and a lightbulb hardhat?

A bloody good night, that’s what (and that random Fringy fodder was for only one member of the Awesome 4some).

Well, buckle up princess because these guys are going to take you on one hell of a ride (in your birthday suit, on an exercise bike).

There’s not much that’s quite more Fringe fabulous than 4some of Awesome.

You will squirm and grimace with unease at the The Reverend Butcher’s revelations, marvel at the magnifique je ne sais quoi of Magnus Danger Magnus (and oh man, that rubix cube inspired suit alone), be blown away by Hana Priest’s bubbles and be both soothed and stunned by Johnno McDonno.

I can’t imagine how the concept for 4some of Awesome came about, but each one of the acts is humbly brilliant in their own way. The act is rough-and-ready physical theatre at its finest, and the ultimate in pure variety.

It has 100s and 1000s of the ingredients necessary for a show with more fringe than a Hawaiian skirt; danger, fire, nakedness, audience participation, singing (both good from McDonno, the token Asian dressed as a sinister Ronald, and purposely average yet hilarious from Magnus), and most of all, there was certainly talent.

Entertainment guaranteed. 4some of Awesome will leave you with a lingering glow where you will leave a little perplexed at what you saw, but damn pleased that you went along for the fun.

4some of Awesome are only at Fringe World for another 4 nights, so don’t hesitate to get down there and see them in action. I challenge anyone to not leave that spiegeltent smiling.
