Lit Shows For Tweens And Teens

Encourage the young adults of Perth to head out this summer and try something new with a Fringe show that is not too spicy.

We know that Fringe looks after the ankle biters with a massive Kids Program, but the tweens and teens have heaps to choose from as well!

Keep ‘em guessing

Blow their young minds with dazzling shows in Yagan Square – the magnificent sleight of hand and charming Charlie Caper – Magical, a modern take on hypnotism with Comedy Hypnotist Matt Hale: Random Acts of Mindness and the award-winning magic of Matt Tarrant: EVOLVE.

The Ice Cream Factory is home of the fast-moving magic show full of laughs Elliot Bibby: Magic In a Jiffy, which is sure to raise a few chuckles among tweens and teens.

Impressive tricks

The jaw dropping action happens over at The Woodside Pleasure Garden with a range of circus shows such as the PreHysterical for rocking good time of marvellous circus skills and hilarious slapstick comedy and crazy outlandish stunts of 3 Speed Crunch Box Rebooted.

You can witness the playful, poetic and unconventional love story between a juggler and a tightwire unfold in Hands some Feet at both TWPG and Ice Cream Factory.

The sound of music

See an emerging talent and youngest finalist on The Voice, Perth’s own Jordan Anthony presents his first solo show This Is Me at The Woodside Pleasure Garden.

Take in some gorgeous classical music under the soaring arches of St Mary’s Church South Perth with An Evening in Paradise and experience the intimate storytelling and a journey through the neuroscience of memory of STYX at Girls School.

Drop the kids off

There’s a range of shows that don’t have any swears or cheeky bits, so you don’t have to hang around to cover their eyes and ears!

The acapella competition Pitch Slapped at Subiaco Arts Centre is perfect for those Pitch Perfect movie fans, the interactive Kravgi: A Sci-Fi Choose Your Own Adventure culminates in one of 50 endings and Crookie! A Mystery Musical is a light-hearted show presented by Drug Aware.

Architecture enthusiasts can take a free guided tour through the Art Gallery of WA for Perth Brutal: Dreaming in Concrete or get an hour of free variety entertainment at Yagan Square with City of Perth FRINGE WORLD Power Hour on weekends.
