What To Fringe Binge On Opening Weekend!

The fun and excitement of FRINGE WORLD gets off to an epic start on 17 January with an opening weekend you cannot miss out on!

Don’t waste any time immersing yourself in Perth’s biggest summer celebration – this is some of the best entertainment in town.

There is an epic line-up of quality ticketed and free events and big ticket shows – some of which you can only experience on the first weekend!

Get the fam together for all-ages fun with A Simple Space and Game ON 2.0 at The Woodside Pleasure Garden or Fuego Carnal in Yagan Square and The Choir of Man at the Ice Cream Factory which are sure to be a memorable hit for everyone.

Grab the gang for a line-up of laughs with Aborigi-LOL: The Return and Scotland!, singalong sessions with Michael Griffiths: By Request and Consensual Connie’s Karaoke Rodeoke or cheeky late night fun at Bernie Dieter’s Little Death Club and Happy Times Hotel.

Get a dose of Fringe-sized spectacle when you see Idris Stanton: WHAM GLAM CIRCUS MAN and immerse yourself in the chilling Flight in Fringe Central or experience the hilarious Speed: The Movie, The Play at Girls School.

Enjoy the toe tappin’ fun of Funked Up Brass, Menagerie Choir’s Songs From A Distant Sun and Impromptunes – The Completely Improvised Musical, where singing is encouraged.

There is no shortage of laughs in the City and Northbridge with a sweet line-up of comedy and stand up shows.

Spend an hour with a Canadian funny-man for Evan Desmarais: Pizza & Ice Cream, see super smart politics mixed with silly props in Krishna Istha: Beast and settle in for some hilarious sailing stories for Scott Murphy: Sailing Lessons.

See the line between food and art blurred with a blend of dance, digital art and live performance with a 1980s flair in Secret Suppers Presents – Children of the 80s Immersive Dinner.
