A Day Out In Perth With The Kids During FRINGE WORLD

You will never hear the ankle-biters say “I’m bored” these summer school holidays with Perth coming alive with entertainment.

In addition to the wonderful things to do in and around our beautiful State’s stunning capital, FRINGE WORLD 2019 has brought the good with more free and ticketed events than ever before!

Be a tourist in your own city, spend some time exploring what Perth has to offer and soak up the Fringe vibes with your family this summer.

See Yagan Square like you have never seen it before – Fringe-ified as a major hub for the Festival in 2019. It will be a great reason to come back for another visit these holidays.

Start the day with lunch at Market Hall or Horseshoe Lane where there is plenty of options with flavours from all corners of the globe to suit every taste – and ice cream for a sweet treat.

Hang around at the upper level Playscape where kids can play and parents can take in the stunning city views. Or pop over to the Fringe Box Office and start planning your Fringe binge! Staff and artists are on hand to help you decide.

On Sundays, take the pressure off your hip pocket with some FREE entertainment with Fringe Sundays. Settle in at The Meeting Place amphitheatre for a taste of a range of awesome shows on offer at Fringe.

Walk off that delicious lunch-time feed and work up an appetite for some culture over at the Perth Cultural Centre.

Get another taste of more Fringe action with FRINGE Central at The Perth Cultural Centre, home of Circus Theatre and The Gold Digger. Still undecided on what to see? There are more staff to help at the box office.

Wander through the State Library, Art Gallery of WA and Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts and get lost in the exhibitions for an even richer cultural experience.

Now the real fun starts! The Woodside Pleasure Garden is where most of the family friendly action happens with a huge range of free and tickets shows at Russell Square –it is free to enter and kids tickets start from as low as $7.50!

Chill out at The Splash Zone with the popular FRINGE WORLD Mermaids, be dazzled by impressive circus tricks and acrobatics under the West Australian Spiegeltent and Big Top or catch a show in Shambles, a venue from the Netherlands.

Feeling peckish? There are some great eats in a chilled-out environment under the trees to have a nibble or a full-on feed and enjoy the delights of roving performers.

Don’t forget, The Woodside Pleasure Garden is open from 1pm, so you can head there even earlier for maximum Fringe fun!
