The FRINGE WORLD 2019 program is so chockers with amazing events that you’re probably feeling overwhelmed with all the goodness.

Tony Galati the Musical
Bet you never thought you would see a stage musical based on the life of Perthonality Tony Galati. We didn’t either! That is the beauty of Fringe – you always get the unexpected. The celebrity farmer of Spudshed fame is the inspiration for Tony Galati the Musical which is sure to be a s-mash hit with locals.

2. Just for laughs

Matt Hale’s Feelgood Factory
Audiences can’t get enough of Perth hypnotist Matt Hale – and neither can we! He is back to mark Fringe yet again with his hilarious take on hypnotism (no swinging pocket watches!) with Feelgood Factory. Taking part on stage is half the fun – but you will have to beat us to it!

3. Dance fusion

Djuki Mala
If you missed FRINGE WORLD award winning Indigenous dance sensation Djuki Mala last time, make them top of your must-see list! We will be first in line to catch the encore performance of the infectious, high energy dance group that fuses traditional dance and pop culture.

4. Kids get crafty

Build a Bug – Busy Bees

We are big kids at heart so we are buzzing over the brand-new State Library Discovery Zone which comes to Fringe for the first time. WA Museum will offer kiddies the chance to create a new bug species with Build a bug – Busy Bees.

Award-winning, rave reviews across the board and sold out shows? Sign us up for Rouge, a decadent blend of sensational acrobatics, operatic cabaret and tongue in cheek burlesque.

Wet Sounds

Bring your swimsuit and goggles for a Fringe show like no other. Dive in to an otherworldly sound experience where the water surface becomes a threshold between different music and entirely different listening experiences.

Hungry Boy

Bring a handful of tissues to this tear-jerker. A moving story with interspersed song about a young Aboriginal featherweight champion’s poignant journey from rags to riches and back again. Never before seen in WA!

Lucky Oceans and Jessie Gordon Present: The Piano Has Been Drinking

Here is your chance see a Grammy award-winner perform! Guitarist Lucky Oceans and his team of vagabonds bring an evening of raucous barrelhouse blues. Featuring Spirit of Fringe winner and jazz/blues vocalist Jessie Gordon alongside pianist Paul Gioia and guitarist Bill Lawrie of Tin Dog fame.

Deceptive Delights with Stuart Lightbody
