5 FRINGE WORLD 2018 Award Winners Who Are Back!

FRINGE WORLD loves the talented artists that entertain us each summer and awards the best of the best in several categories every year. And we have great news!

The cream of the FRINGE WORLD 2018 crop is coming back in 2019 to treat us again to their award-winning shows. We are so lucky!

You know you are in for some top-notch entertainment with these five Fringe judges approved shows making their return.


1. Elizabeth Davie – Super Woman Money Program

Comedy Award

If it is laugh out loud moments you seek this Fringe Festival, you can’t go past what the judges deemed to be the Best Comedy of 2018!

Elizabeth Davie returns with her award-winning show Super Woman Money Program about a woman with money woes that had audiences and judges howling with laughter.

2. Betty Grumble: Love & Anger

Cabaret Award

Self-described obscene beauty queen Betty Grumble whirls back to the west after sell out seasons around the world.

Dive back in (or for the first time!) to her ongoing womanifesto and witness her ecosexually charged flesh riot ritual of dancing dissent and disco.

3. Head First Acrobats

Street Performance & Buskers Award

These guys wowed the crowds on the streets with their acrobatics flips, twists and tumbles during the Buskers Weekenders. Everyone agreed it was a wonderful display of good ol’ fashioned street humour.

Everyone is flipping over the news they are bringing their award-winning tricks back! They will be back on the streets, but you can also spot them in Circus’Cision.

4. What Doesn’t Kill You [blah, blah] Stronger
Martin Sims Award

FRINGE WORLD loves to see homegrown talent soar on the world stage and the judges saw something extra special in What Doesn’t Kill You [blah, blah] Stronger, deeming it worthy of the Festival’s top gong.

This love letter to misfortune scored a huge cash prize and development support to tour nationally and internationally – so more people can see this unique and hilarious romp and put more WA talent on the world cultural map.

5. Luke Bolland – Name Dropper
WA Comedy Award

We already knew WA folk have a wicked sense of humour and this just proves it. Luke Bolland won the Perth Fringe WA Best Comedy Award in 2018 and he is bringing his A-list name filled show back.

Come and see him spill uncensored true stories about Delta Goodrem, Will Smith, Matt Damon (you can’t get any bigger than that!) and more in this hilarious live stand-up comedy show.
