You'll either love this show or you won't. I loved it. Lucretia is the raging clown inside most women who wants to take back the night and make it her hunting ground. Great, amazing show. Take your teenage kids. Some great lessons on consent here.

I was recommended this show by a friend and wasn't sure what to expect. I loved every minute of the expression of Elizabeth's inner clown. How rare is it that we get to laugh (to the level of snorting) about something that many women have wished they could do in a threatening or leery situation but never shared. It's clowning at its best. Black Comedy done to perfection. Expect some uncomfortable men and their partners in the audience who have all of a sudden lost their sense of humour (possibly remembering comments they themselves have made to women). I am going again. Bravery, Performance and Laughter!

I'm writing this here because after seeing a lot of the negative reviews from the show I'm worried the performer will think all the criticism is just from "anti-feminist men" and dismiss it. This show should have been exactly "my cup of tea", however it was unfortunately one-note and completely un-nuanced. While I understand the exact feeling of being afraid and the desire to turn the tables, the show perpetuated a dangerous narrative of "the rapist in the dark alley" (literally) when it well-known that most sexual and physical violence comes from those we know. There could have been so much more done with this concept and yet instead it was literally the same scene over and over again. I really hope this performer reflects further on the show and comes up with a more fully-fledged, informed, and intelligent show.

I laughed out loud at this show first in shock, then in good humour. We went along on a Monday night with no idea what we were seeing. An alter ego clown with a disturbing yet empowering 'hobby'... An very energetic and funny effort to bring some perspective to what is a reality for women. I have giggled many times (in the gym when men linger) reflecting on this, and trying to explain it to friends. I look forward to seeing what Lucretia gets up to next.

Without knowing what was in store for me I bought a ticket to Apex Predator. A darkly sweet and funny hour of clowning I was enthralled with Elizabeth Davie's alter-ego, Lecretia, and her murderous hour of physical comedy and mayhem. Exactly what a Fringe show is all about, I'm so glad I saw Apex Predator and want to see it again.

Horrible and offensive.
This should not be considered a standup comedy show. Really disappointing to see this as part of Fringe

Unfortunately this show was not enjoyable. It should not be advertised as a comedy that’s for sure. Majority of the audience felt uncomfortable and many walked out. I appreciate her talent in miming and sound effects but wasn’t enough to save the show. If you’re looking for something very weird and interactive then this may be for you.

I actually went to see this show twice I loved it so much. Incredible performance, so brave. Thank you!

At some time in her life Elizabeth must have been severely traumatised by male violence. I feel for her. Her catharsis is to make up a show about stalking men and cutting their heads off, turning the severed heads in to play things. This is the most morose and worst show I have ever seen in my seven years going to Fringe. 25% of the audience walked out. It is so bad that refunds should be offered.

Absolutely ridiculous show, not funny at all, stupid and a complete waste of time and money. We weren’t the only ones to walk out. Zero stars

WTF? Horrific. Not comedy, interpretive dance on drugs perhaps?

I work in an emergency department. Once a woman flicked her menstrual blood at me. Not only was it a more powerful feminist statement than this show, but it was far, far more amusing. No stars.

Fraudulent to call this stand up comedy. Like a bad trip I was desperate to emerge from. The only show I’ve ever walked out of. The only laughs I got were with the other punters who bailed early. Zero laughs, just a horrible, dreadful experience for all involved. Most of the audience left early. Can I get a refund? Seriously... If not please use my money to resolve your issues.

Honestly the worst show I’ve ever seen in my life ever. Of any genre full stop ever. An absolute waste of time and money. Not funny. Not inspirational. Like watching a mental break down, but less interesting. We walked out. As a woman, she offends me.

This was great, watching a clown take out predators and a few jokes is a great way to pass the time. Highly recommend seeing this.

Very funny. Some members of the audience were visibly uncomfortable, which just made it better to be honest! Powerful, feminist, hilarious. Loved it.

Apex Predator is a charming clowning/mime/physical theatre piece which had us giggling throughout at it's unexpected and irreverent twists and turns!
Elizabeth Davie is enchanting to watch, with a delightfully warm senses of audience connection. She skilfully and humorously negotiated some tricky technical headset microphones issues at the start of the show, keeping us connected and engaged throughout. I loved the underlying message of the show, and her personal explanation of how (and why) she found her clown. This emerging artist gets a 4.5 out of 5 * from me for transforming a very deep concept into something delightfully entertaining.

To say this show was weird was an understatEmEnt. Weird can sometimes be good but not in this case. Too much mime and the audience i was with did not get or like it. Worst fringe show i have seen, Just being honest.

Um, weird and not that funny unless you count the bewildered reactions of other audience members. Advertised as a dark comedy, at least the dark bit was true. Show Didn't even go for the one hour it was advertised as. Felt a bit ripped off.

the underlying idea of this show is great (spoiler alert: apex predator lady hunts down male predators in dark alleyways and other places) and there were some really worthwhile and fun scenes (supermarket scene, king lear scene), but overall we thought that the show didn't really work that well
