Took a chance on this one 'cos the balloon costume was such an epic visual and stoked to report that I utterly adored this show. The costume and high concept gives way to a spectacularly honest and funny hour that rakes over the performers' struggles with her identity. The musicianship is solid and the quiet interplay between the two performers is a delight. I was smiling with recognition and laughter throughout. One of the shows of the festival, and one to try even if you don't think it looks like it's for you. I bet it is.
A cabaret about feeling like a weird lost alien in your late 20s and is super relatable for said demographic. Eidann is hysterial, her songs are equal parts funny and touching and her alien costume is ridiculous in the best way. There's a game show, cute audience participation, a hand painted solar system and memes. What more could you need.
This performer gets so personal with their audience and really wears their heart on their sleeve. Using the concept of feeling like an alien in an world where you don’t know “how to be an adult human” is such a brilliant metaphor to explain ones own struggles with mental health. In turn, it’s because of the brilliant performances chops of Eidann Glover that these themes and messages shoot through to your core. Uplifting and fun, She has created a show featuring beautiful stories and songs that make this piece Relatable and Re-watchable!
What a delight! Eidann performed with such honesty and passion, and I really enjoyed how she effortlessly involved the audience. I wasn’t sure what to expect was so glad I saw this piece of magic! 10/10 would recommend.
An interesting journey that starts in space then leads into inner feelings about coping with life! All original music and narrative, beautiful singing. Would see again!
A totally original cabaret. Raw, honest and funny, the show shares the challenges of not quite fitting in on earth, whether or not you’re an alien. Fun music, and some safe audience interaction.
What started out as a kooky alien space adventure, slowly crept up on you as it morphed into the struggle of simply existing as a human on planet earth. Eidann explored themes of mental illness, mania, and tax evasion with effortless witt and lucid honesty. Beautiful.
I’m not really sure what I thought this show would be going into it but I was really impressed. A really lovely show, at times we would fly into a little dark cloud but would always come through to the other side! Rather than being super weird it was funny and uplifting. I think I’ll see it again!
