The Nose

“Sometimes the truth is as plain as the nose on one’s face – and some...

The Nose is a thrilling theatre piece. Fantastic expressive acting and movement from the three person cast. The sound and lighting and props were also amazing and the Blue Room theatre is a great venue. I was really interested in the opening theme of wealthy American parents who teach their child that they will definitely be massively successful because they have an exceptional nose. All is going to plan in this grotesque capitalist parody until one night the nose makes a bid for independence.
A lot of material is crammed into the hour show and there were a couple of points in which I struggled to keep up with fast pace monologues. There also a lot of amazing moments and beautiful dialogue, and I felt it was fine not to understand everything on a first viewing. My main problem with the piece was entirely my fault - I'd gone on my own and had no-one to discuss it with.
