Yes, it's a good show, but not that good to give it 5 stars (as one official reviewer did). from the promo pic I expected him to wear a few (token) outfits, and felt a bit cheated when that did not eventuate.

James Hancox puts on a fantastic and very funny performance, with a little bit of help from the audience. Definitely a great show!

I liked it so much I saw it twice. This is a great comedy routine that relies on cleverness, not crassness for laughs. This is a rarity in today’s world of comedy.

Extremely funny, Although a Few Names Short Of 1000. Not Educational. Nevertheless, highly Recommended...

Loved this show! A hilarious and original concept. Be prepared for audience interaction - James is extremely comfortable and natural at improvisation and turns the audience into part of the show. It was a thoroughly enjoyable performance!

Thanks, James for a truly fun history lesson. Amazing! what you were able to do when your incompetent crew didn't turn up. We appreciated how you co-ordinated the audience participation. Highly recommend this show for all.

SO VERY fun, quite hilarious audience participation - a history lesson everyone should see!

Excellent show, hilarious jaunt through history, and good involvement of the audience. Also, thankyou Cam and Sir Cam! The Girls School is a great venue to arrive early and relax with a drink from the bar and the yummy burgers. James' show is an intimate setting upstairs in the old library. Don't forget the Fringe cat bus stop is just out front of the venue, as well as buses directly to the bus station.

James Hancox is a clever guy!
Through his use of facial expressions (his famous eyebrows!), song, dialogue, props, sound effects, and audience participation, this chameleon brings history to life. From 'laughing til you cry' to actually wanting to cry at the demise of one of the characters, you'll leave at the end of this roller-coaster of emotions show wanting more, to rush out and buy season tickets just to see this show over and over again.
